The part nobody explains properly

What your donation actually costs you after 80G

Donations to this foundation qualify for a deduction of 50% of the donated amount under section 80G(5)(vi), subject to the qualifying limits in your own return.

80G Tax-Saving Calculator

An indication, not tax advice — your final position depends on your total income and other deductions.

Two things worth knowing. The 50% deduction applies to the donated amount, and your total 80G deduction is subject to the qualifying limit prescribed in the Act. The deduction is available under the old tax regime — if you have opted for the new regime, most Chapter VI-A deductions including 80G are not available to you. Please confirm your own position with your accountant.

Give monthly

The single most useful thing you can do for us

A predictable monthly amount lets us commit to a route, buy in bulk, and promise a school that we will be back next term. One-off giving is generous. Monthly giving is what makes the work possible.

  • ₹500 a month — roughly fourteen hot meals, every month
  • ₹1,500 a month — one elder, fully supported, indefinitely
  • ₹2,500 a month — one child in the orphan support programme
  • ₹5,000 a month — a standing contribution to whichever programme is short that month
No auto-debit, no lock-in. You pay by standing instruction from your own bank or simply by UPI on a date that suits you, and you can stop with a single WhatsApp message. We deliberately do not use mandates that are difficult to cancel.

Your 80G receipt

How the paperwork actually works

1

You pay

UPI, transfer or cheque. Send us a screenshot with your name, PAN and postal address.

2

We receipt you

A numbered receipt carrying our 80G approval number and trust PAN, within seven working days.

3

We file 10BD

Your donation is included in our donor-wise Form 10BD statement, filed by 31 May following the financial year.

4

You get 10BE

The Form 10BE certificate, generated after filing, reaches you for your return. Nothing for you to chase.

Why we ask for your PAN. Not for marketing — we do not do marketing. The Income Tax Department requires donor PAN in our Form 10BD statement, and without it we cannot report your donation, which means you cannot claim it. Your PAN is stored securely and is never shared with anybody other than the tax department.
Donation questions

Everything donors ask about giving

₹35 — one hot, full meal for one person. We have supporters giving ₹100 a month and supporters giving a lakh at a time, and both get the same receipt process and the same honesty.
Within seven working days of the money reflecting in our account, provided you have sent us your name, PAN and postal address. If it has not arrived, one WhatsApp message and a trustee will chase it personally.
Because Form 10BD, the donor-wise statement every 80G-approved organisation must file, requires them. Without your PAN we cannot report your donation and you cannot claim the deduction.
Yes, but then we cannot report it in 10BD and you cannot claim the 80G deduction. That is a trade-off you are entitled to make and we will not argue with it.
None. UPI and bank transfers reach us in full. We do not use a payment gateway that takes a percentage, and we do not pay commission to any fundraising agent.
Yes. Nominate a programme and it is tracked separately against that programme. If it is already fully funded we will contact you before applying it elsewhere — we will not move it quietly.
Yes. Talk to us about a CSR proposal and we will provide the registration particulars, a utilisation plan and the documentation your finance team will require.
No. You get a receipt, and photographs from the distribution your money funded. There is no call centre and no retention team. If you want to hear from us more often, tell us.
Only if we hold current FCRA registration — our status is published in the compliance strip in the footer. An NRI donating from an Indian account or an NRO account is treated as a domestic donation and is straightforward.
Write to us within seven days with the transaction reference. Verified errors — duplicates, wrong amounts, unauthorised transactions — are refunded to the original account within ten working days.
